Colette E. Verch

As an associate attorney with Harness IP, Colette Verch is focused on intellectual property litigation in matters concerning trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false advertising, and patent infringement. Colette also practices patent prosecution and has experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, and preparing invalidity, patentability, and freedom-to-practice opinions.

Leveraging her experience in automotive engineering, Colette understands the practicalities and challenges of real-world component design and manufacturing and enjoys collaborating with clients to properly execute their intellectual property rights. She is dedicated to producing high-quality work products and outstanding results.

Colette is a Michigan native, having grown up in Waterford and attending school inAnn Arbor and Detroit. Before joining Harness IP, Colette worked as an engineer an automotive OEM designing body and hardware components for battery electric trucks. While attending law school, she worked at Harness IP as a patent agent and law clerk.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS/PASSION PROJECTS

Outside of the office, Colette enjoys Pilates, yoga, and running. She is an avid traveler. Colette has two dogs, Miloh and Marvin. During the summer, you can often find them outdoors boating in the beautiful Michigan weather.
